Woodville Tompkins Earns College Success Award

Woodville Tompkins earns GreatSchools’ 2024-2025 College Success Award

National recognition celebrates public high schools that prepare students to enroll and succeed in college

We are excited to announce that we have been recognized as one of the nation’s top public high schools for preparing students for college success, earning GreatSchools’ 2024–2025 College Success Award. Presented annually by GreatSchools, the nation’s leading nonprofit providing school information to parents and families, the award honors schools that excel at preparing students to enroll and thrive in college, as determined by available state data.

Woodville Tompkins has demonstrated a successful track record of graduating students who enroll in two- or four-year college, are ready for college-level coursework, and persist on to their second year.

The College Success Award is possible because Georgia is leading the nation in both collecting and transparently sharing information on how students perform after high school, which is valuable information for families, educators, and policymakers.

“Every student deserves the chance to thrive in college and beyond, and schools like Woodville Tompkins are making that vision a reality,” said Jon Deane, CEO of GreatSchools. “This award celebrates the dedication of educators, families, and students who work together to create opportunities that open doors to brighter futures.”

Community members can join GreatSchools in celebrating Woodville Tompkins on social media using #CollegeSuccessAward.
